Typhoid Fever

Ulcerative lesions in the larynx during typhoid

fever are almost always the result of mixed infection, though

thrombosis of a small vessel, with subsequent necrosis is also seen.

If the ulceration reaches the cartilage, cicatricial stenosis is

almost certain to follow.
