STRYCHNINE. Symptoms

Appear quickly. Terrible convulsions, in paroxysms,
devilish grin, the body is curved backward, jaw set.

Treatment. Cause vomiting, with warm salt water, warm mustard water,
lard, vaselin, etc.; sixty grains of bromide of potash and thirty grains
of chloral hydrate by the rectum. Dark, quiet room.
